Aromatherapy is the art and science of utilizing aromatic essences from plants to balance, harmonize, and promote the health of the body, mind, and spirit. As a holistic practice, aromatherapy is both a preventative approach, as well as an active method to employ during acute and chronic stages of illness or ‘dis’-ease.
Aromatherapy is a natural, non-invasive modality designed to affect the whole person and not just the symptom or disease. It enhances the innate healing process by assisting the body’s natural ability to balance, regulate, and maintain itself. Essential oils can be used to reduce stress and anxious feelings, combat negative feelings, promote relaxation and sleep, relieve head tension, reduce muscle aches and soothe joints, improve digestive function, promote clear breathing, strengthen the immune system, increase energy and focus, improve the appearance of skin, and clean your home without toxic chemicals.
Our certified aromatherapist can work with you on a holistic basis, addressing physical symptoms and their root causes. After a health history and intake interview, the aromatherapist works with you to choose appropriate essential oils and create one or more blends for you to use at home. She will also teach you how to use essential oils to achieve maximum benefit.
