Dealing with the Dog Days of Summer…..Recognizing and Combating Fatigue
August 19, 2018-2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
$35We live in world that by its very nature consumes our energies. We work A LOT; we are committed to causes and responsibilities, sometimes OVER COMMITTED. We hear distressing news 24/7 and our minds and hearts can become filled with fear and worry. Electronic devices pull our attention away from restful, restorative activities. If not careful, we can find our bodies and our minds running on empty.
During this workshop, we will practice soothing the senses, calming the nervous system, and turning our attention inward as resources to combat our own tendencies to deplete ourselves physically and emotionally.
The workshop will include a grounding physical practice and breathwork to calm the nervous system, restorative poses to invite rest and calm, a short yoga nidra (yogic sleep) and a 10 minute yoga practice handout to take home for mind-body awareness.
This workshop will be facilitated by Amy Branson, RYT
The workshop will be limited to 6 participants. No yoga experience necessary.
