We now offer two psychiatric nurse practitioners who use evidence-based treatments and are licensed to prescribe mental health medication for a variety of illnesses. Our Flourish Wellness clients have the opportunity to include natural remedies such as massage, acupuncture, Reiki and yoga in addition to counseling and medication  We offer this unique way to address mental health concerns comprehensively. When you come to work with us, you will find that we are not like a conventional doctor’s office. Our team will take time with you and support you through collaboration so we can provide you with the correct diagnosis as well as create a comprehensive plan to improve and enhance your overall health and well being.

Our Nurse Practitioners:

Josyane Kengni, is board-certified nurse practitioner in Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. She has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in nursing with seven years of nursing experience in a variety of settings. Josyane is licensed to provide psychotherapy and psychopharmacology in Maryland. She is experienced in working with children, adolescents, adults, and the geriatric population to diagnose and treat mental health disorders. Josyane draws on her experience as a medical nurse to rule-out any possible medical conditions that could be affecting a patient’s mental health before treating a psychiatric condition.
“My responsibility as a mental health nurse practitioner is to provide evidence-based psychopharmacology and psychotherapy to individuals. I believe if the patient’s mental functioning is restored or compensated for, then their social functioning is positively impacted and thus their economic capabilities are improved.” Josyane is committed to having a positive impact on the community.
